Like if I have 2 shots of vodka (40% alcohol), or 1 shot of nay rum (80% alcohol), what difference does it make to my body?

If you worked out exactly how much alcohol was ingested and it was the same, then alcohol affects would be the same.
They may have different effects from preservatives tannins and other additives, different pops etc
