Ingrown Hairs

189 viewsBiologyOther

I know. Random, v silly question… but ’m trying to understand why, even though I’ve always clean shaven my pubic area (female) since I was a teen, why I get more stubborn, ingrown hairs that lead to folliculitis as a person who is 30+ than unused to. (Throw away account because who wants their friends to see this question get asked ?😂)

Hair has to come through the skin to not be in-grown. Sometimes the hair is not sharp/strong enough, or it is naturally too curly, or the skin is too tough or inelastic. And so the hair keeps growing, but underneath the skin. It happens more as you get older because your skin gets tougher as you age.
