Is it true that the older you get, the worse you’ll get at video games due to hand eye co-ordination?

I’m in my 40’s and I was just wondering when is the cut off when improvements stop happening and hand eye co-ordination decreases? I assume it does as you get older or is that not so? (I am a Gamer and I enjoy gaming as a means of stress relief and just wondering if there’s been studies saying such.)

Athletic prime is somewhere close to 30.  Plus or minus 5 years.  Once you’re 35, its all downhill from there.  That being said, you’re not really ever “too old to game”.  Maybe too old for some kids game.  The games that are fast twitch.  Like FortNite.  And trying to be #1 in the world at it too.  That’d be 1 in a million even if you were 12 again.  But if you want to kick ass, best boomer games are games like WoW or POE or Grim Dawn.  These are ARPG and MMORPG.  People also like BG3 which is CRPG, which is basically a table top game (D&D) ported to PC(BG3).  These games are more about decisions and time investment rather than “I clicked this part of my screen 0.1 seconds faster than you” and that’s why I won.  Ultimately just find something you have fun playing.  Something not triggering.  And don’t get too competitive, relax and enjoy.
