Is my vocal range the same for whistling as for singing? Why/why not?

No, because those are two different “instruments” the shapes you can make with your mouth and throat to sing are completely different than the shapes you make in order to whistle. It’s like comparing a flute with a saxophone. You can be good at both, but there are notes that only one or the other can hit just because of their design
