Is there any genetic component to the way you sneeze?

All of my friends, they sneeze very quietly, like a small “achoo” and that’s it but when I sneeze, I do it like a dad of four married kids, turning the heads of the entire room, which is very similar to the way both my mom and dad sneeze and that got me wondering.

The neighbors send a text checking in to make sure everything is ok every time I sneeze. Just like pops.

I’ve heard that the thing where looking toward the sun or a bright light causes one to sneeze is a hereditary thing.

I have a relative who sneezes using three syllables, “ha-ZIH-shoo” with emphasis on ZIH and I have never heard another person who does this.

I think it’s mostly nurture.

My dad doesn’t sneeze like a dad – more like a fighter jet. Shit’s causing sonic booms, exploding windows and rupturing eardrums. My mum has a start & stop sneeze – **Atch**- ^(hih)

Most of the time I sneeze kinda “normally” – atcheh. But thanks to the teachings of my dad, if I wish to I can absolutely go

# HATCHA

And make myself the most hated individual at any time in the room I’m currently in lol

Never succeeded in mimicking mom however – I’ve always felt like I was about to blow something up in my brain
