muscle growth in regards to height

This might be a dumb question, but considering how muscles grow… why are we unable to do the same thing in regards to muscle “tears” causing them to grow longer and stronger in our legs or any workout in our body for that matter , causing us to grow. and why is that now how it works ?

edit: im aware of growth plates closing , but feel like theres more of an explanation to it

AFAIK, muscle length is unaffected by working out.

Either way, your bones are the real impediment to getting taller. You would need to break your bones to make the growth happen, which would be dangerous and likely ineffective.
