When we lift weights why do we get Sore the next day. How come we don’t get sore like 1 hour after lifting

Lifting weights in theory tears your muscles while you are lifting, and your body attempts to rebuild said muscles after your done. That’s why they tell you to get plenty of sleep and have a proper diet when you workout, because it greatly helps your body when it is going through this process.
