Often times when we eat we accidentally bite ourselves. Why does this occurdoes our mind miscalculate the force or is it simply a little error?

Your mind doesn’t miscalculate the force, you’re consciously expecting to chew food, so you apply as much force as you need for the food. Sometimes the tongue gets in the way, or our cheeks get sucked in as we chew. We can’t focus on every single bite, so there are errors that will happen through inattention.
