This only occurs when their correspondents are at a remote location, it’s due to the delay between the video feed that the studio receives and what the remote team receives. So it’s basically like you talking to your friend through the phone, and it takes 3 seconds for your voice to reach your friend and vice versa. So 3 seconds for the message to get to you, and a couple of seconds to come up with a response.
