can someone explain the “Riemann Hypothesis” to me? because I tried to Google it, & it just left me even more confused. also why is it a big deal that someone solved it or proved it wrong or whatever.

The Riemann Hypothesis basically has to do with a mathematical function that can tell us a lot about the where certain prime numbers lie between two numbers. Certain fields of science, like computer security, rely heavily on how hard it is to know where huge prime numbers are. While there is a lot of debate around whether proving or disproving the hypothesis would actually have an effect on computer security, most people agree that the insights made on the way to finding a solution could have big implications in other fields of mathematics.
