Stomach Aches

How do stomach aches happen?
Did I literally eat so much food that I filled my stomach all the way full?
Did I not eat enough, and my stomach is shrinking itself?
Why does it happen? And why do they happen even if I ate a regular/normal amount of food?

They can happen for a variety of reasons.
If you eat too much food, your body sends signals to your brain to say it’s expanded to much, and to stop food intake – stomach aches achieve this.

If you eat something your body doesn’t agree with (e.g. allergic or intolerant to) it means your body is actively responding to the food in a negative way causing damage to your stomach/intestines (eg caeliac disease when you eat gluten) or it just lacks the enzymes in your intestines to process the foods (eg. Lactose intolerance) causing you to feel bloated, gassy, nausea – I.e. stomach aches)

It could also be a whole bunch of other reasons, including visceral pain which feels like it’s localised in the gut. (Damage or issue with pretty much anything below your chest)

I tried to keep it simple
