Particles that travel backward in time, because they travel faster than the speed of light.
They are entirely theoretical, never detected, and would break a lot of theories if we did detect them. But we do have some backup theories that predict them, so scientists keep looking.
Honestly, 90% of science is seeing if you can break stuff and build a better theory.
