You can hear all the cracks in your neck and whole back when they happen too.
What is actually happening to my flesh, that I’m hearing?

I’m not sure I fully understand the question. Is the question about the crunch/pop sound you hear when you crack your back or neck?

I’ve always heard it explained that the joints in our body contain synovial fluid to allow the bones to glide against each another without causing pain. When you “crack” a joint, the sound we hear is gas bubbles bursting as the synovial capsule stretches
