Simple wear and tear on the vocal chords. As we age, our parts become less elastic. When it comes to vocal cords this means they have less of a dynamic range of vibration.
Eventually your cells reproduce less, giving you a weaker voice box, and weaker lungs to push out the air for speech.
Their organs start to cramp together and then there’s not as much like space for air and sound to travel.
