For years now I’ve noticed that if I lay down or recline such that my head is elevated above my chest, and I view or read something, be it near, far, at eye level or above, that my vision will become increasingly blurry until essentially all text is illegible. It starts to occur almost immediately and peaks after about 20-30 minutes. After stopping, my vision returns to normal after about 10-20 minutes. This phenonemon has been driving me nuts more recently as I’m severely injured and have to remain mostly reclined, and I just want to know the terminology around what is or is possibly happening to my eyes when in this position.
