what does Satire mean and how would it be correctly used?

Satire is usually a comedic spoof of something but with exaggeration on key aspects.

An example is the TV show “spitting Image”, where they take politicians and celebrities, make rubber faced puppets of them with overly pronounced features and then crank their personalities to 11.

Nothing is off the table in satire because it is deemed as light hearted humour.
