Satire is a form of humor where you take something that you want to criticize and exaggerate it highlight the flaws. A lot of times this is used to criticize political issues. A classic example is an essay called “A Modest Proposal” by Jonathan Swift. In that easy, Swift was making an argument that poor people in Ireland should sell their children to the rich English to be eaten. This wasn’t a real proposal. Swift was trying to mock the British’s heartless attitudes towards the Irish by exaggerating it.
