Entropy is heat loss. All processes lose a bit of heat due to imperfections. Everything loses heat in an environment that’s colder than it (or if it’s a reaction that releases heat), and outer space (most of the universe) has next to no heat. Thus, everything runs out of heat/energy eventually.
