What exactly are things like Smartwater advertising with balanced pH, and does it make any biological difference?

It’s complete BS. Small differences in the pH of your water do not make any difference whatsoever. It’s just marketing to make it sound more healthy, when in reality any bottled water is more questionable than filtered tap water due to the plastic particles that seep from the bottle (provided that you live in an area with drinkable tap water)
