I take my cats outside (supervised) on nice mornings and give them each a leaf of catnip from a plant growing by our porch. The very brave cat, that likes to explore too much, gets sleepy and naps in the sun. The very timid cat gets braver and explores around the porch. It’s a win /win at our house.
It’s like a recreational drug for cats. Most enjoy it and get frisky or loopy, at little risk. So it’s an easy, cheap, fun thing to get for your cats.
