What happens if you turn off your gaming pc without shutting down properly?

Doing it once isn’t the end of the world – you risk losing any data that wasn’t saved at the time (like text documents) or corrupting data that was being copied to a hard drive or USB drive. Data corruption is usually not *too* serious of a concern though.
Doing it frequently is not healthy for the machine though since it can put stress on the power supply unit or different parts of the machine.
Same thing that happens if you turn off a non-gaming PC. The hard drive cache and memory, which require power to store data, do not get a chance to finish writing data to disk. This can result in corruption of data in the hard drive.
