What happens to fractured bones?

When someone does fracture a bone, what happens? I’m meaning when there’s no surgery needed and things. The fractured part must go somewhere, or?

If no surgery needed then we are talking about a very minor fracture and/or a very minor piece of bone that has splintered off. In which case either it will be dissolved through natural biological processes or just exist harmlessly inside your body.

There are cells called Osteoclasts and Osteoblasts that replicate (make new cells), and mend the broken area. The fractured part becomes part of the new structure and are incorporated into the new framework. The human body is amazing in its resiliency and ability to adapt.
