What happens to our blood when we die

1.04K views

I’ve been quite curious lately to find out what happens the our blood after someone’s passing, does it thin or does it clot etc? I was also curious to know if the blood was something that can also be donated after death too like other organs can?

A bit of an odd question to ask but I’ve been interested to learn what happens to it.

The blood will stop moving around the body. It’ll begin to pool and coagulate (clot) in the lowest part of the body.
