what is special about sex that makes it possible for some diseases to only be sexually transmitted?

It’s just that saliva doesn’t contain nearly as much “stuff” as other bodily fluids like those produced by the genitals, blood, etc. Sex isn’t special in this context. .. It’s just the most common transfer of these bodily fluids.
