What is the (distance) record for an object thrown by humans (such as javelin)? What shape would be ideal for this?

It seems the record for javelin is roughly 100m. One immediate question for me is, would a lighter (or possibly heavier) javelin increase records? Surely there is a trade-off due to air resistance (a 10g javelin won’t make it 100m). Are there other throwing competitions with stones/balls which result in longer distances? I am also wondering what shape would be ideal to maximise distance maybe a sphere, a raindrop shape, or something like the javelin?
To be clear I am talking about humans muscles (no aids) being used to throw.

Baseball player can throw a baseball over 350 ft at least. If we are talking about non winged objects that’s probably the farthest.

The record for the longest throw of a boomerang is 427.2 m and that is what the longest throw is according to the Guinness book of records.

You could probably go further you pushed the semantic limits of what it means to throw something.

Would using an atlatl or sling still count?

Could you engineer your projectile to fly further.

If you “throw” a light weight solar powered model plane does that count.

What about “throwing” a helium balloon?

Does it has to be an even filed or can you throw something of a cliff.

What if you do it on the moon?

What about an astronaut in orbit. If you “throw” something during a spacewalk it ill go a long, long way away from you.

Technically, a fart. Hear me out.

It disperses all over the world, so it travels thousands of miles 🙂
