Title says it all. I need to work with/buy a bevel gear for a project I’m working on, and cannot figure out what these terms mean to save my life. There is little to no explanations for a person with entry-level knowledge on the subject. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

And, I’m not sure If I’m over-stepping my boundaries by continuing, BUT I’m willing to take that chance.
Say I wasn’t going to mount it on a shaft, and I would, theoretically, mount the bevel gear to something with a large hole in the center (simplistically, a tall ring.). Do you think I could drill through the Hub (where you mentioned “Hub Diameter”), thread the newly made hole, and screw a screw through that, into the tall ring? Or would I have to custom-order that, as I wouldn’t be able to drill through the hardened steel?
