I’m not talking like why do they not like screaming but I mean why do they prefer the softer type of voices?

Somewhat off topic, but…
I have a naturally loud voice; I’m a large guy with big lungs, big chest. It is genetic, really. A family trait.
When I was dating, I realized I had to retrain my voice to speak to women differently. I had to speak softly and calmly. I now believe women were turned off by my naturally loud voice.
