What makes fresh bedsheets feel so much better than old bedsheets?

Fresh smells better and clean feels better, combine that with the day(s) leading up to when you lay on those clean sheets. If you’re lucky enough to have had a childhood with someone that cared, clean sheets on your bed could’ve been an afterthought as a child but now something you see the importance of and appreciate more as an adult cleaning your own and those of your family. If you had a different childhood then maybe now it’s something more than the smell and feel,its a reminder you make your own way and it feels better than you could have hoped and even better with clean sheets.

Short answer: mites feed on the dirt you leave on your sheets, and their poop and overall presence irritates the skin.
