What makes Hydrogen flammable?

I understand that adding fire to hydrogen causes it to burn, but what actually happens when fire or heat is introduced?

Weak bonds between Hydrogen atoms, means when a little energy is applied, it breaks the bonds quite easily, giving off more energy
