What were to happen to an organism near an earthquake underwater?

If the earthquake displaces the water, it’ll create huge pressure wave. Organisms far enough in the water likely won’t be too affected as it would be akin to a huge, underwater wave to them. However, organisms in shallow water may be displaced onto land when the resulting tsunami hits.
