What would happen if someone was injected with 2cc’s of air into their glute?

This is not nefarious. I take TRT and I’m always worried about what would happen if there is air in the syringe.
Assuming it’s unsterile room air, you could get an infection. Otherwise, you’d probably have some pain and crepitus (crackling noises when you move or manipulate the tissue). Your body would slowly absorb the gases (air is a mix of gases, mostly nitrogen and oxygen) and excrete them.
I wouldn’t worry too much about this happening. I know many people who used injectable HRT for years and this hasn’t happened to any of them.
I’ve never injected 2cc worth, but a few times as a teen with a short attention span and diabetes, I injected air into the subcutaneous tissue of my arm/leg/stomach and never had any issues. But i was injecting in the range of 0.2-0.5cc.
