What’s the difference between a Mac and an Apple computer?

Apple is the company that makes Macs.
They used to make other lines as well and in fact they told all the schools in the 80s they’d be going to the Lisa line of computers but instead they went with the Macintosh line.
A Mac is an Apple computer.
