Determinism: “We can’t change our own destinies, they’re predetermined by the universe.”

Fatalism: “WE CAN’T CHANGE ANYTHING NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRY, EVERYTHING WILL BE AWFUL SO STOP TRYING!”

Determinism: Things will happen a very specific way, in the smallest detail. Not only is there nothing we can do about it, the very notion of “doing something about it” is invalid.

Fatalism: Things always globally end the same, and mostly badly. We can and do try doing something about it, but it’s futile: all paths lead to similar results.
