What’s the difference between fossils and fossil fuels ?

A fossil is part of an animal or plant that has been, over time, turned to stone.
A fossil fuel is, generally, a plant that has over time been turned into oil. Animals can become fossil fuel but almost all pil deposits date back to before animals were around on land.
