First I want to say I’m not a native english speaker, so I may say something that you don’t understand or that it’s grammatically incorrect.
Ok, now let’s dive into the question. I know some of you may say it’s because the bomb simply exploded, but does the person die from the burns caused by the heat, from the impact they receive after being “thrown” or because they received damage from blastering fragments? I didn’t find any post in this sub, but I guess is just a matter of knowing how a bomb works. Thanks in advance for your answers.

All of the above, depending on the circumstances. Shrapnel will certainly cause traumatic wounds and maiming. The blast can also have a concussive effect that sends an impact through the body disrupting organs and causing internal trauma.
