When initially working out, why are you getting stronger but not building any visible muscle?

When for example doing bicep curls with a weight that is a big challenging for you it will actually make small tares in your biceps’s muscle fibres and once you finish working out your body repairs those tares but like with scar tissue when you body repairs your muscles it adds a bit more on than before so that in future doing the same activity will be easier
