When learning a musical instrument, why do you feel that you can’t improve anymore (or even feel that you’re unlearning), then you go to sleep and the next day you feel that you’ve actually improved a lot?

Sleeping helps consolidate the neural pathways in your brain. While you are sleeping your brain is basically optimizing everything you learned that day, and the next day you feel like you are doing better than the previous day.
