When someone gets pregnant while on birth control and then continues taking it daily until realizing they are pregnant, how does this not harm the fetus? Are there notable side effects from this?

think of mr. birth control pill as someone living in your reproductive system with a megaphone yelling “fuck off, i’m already pregnant” every time you do something that could get you pregnant (to scare the pregnancy away).
if you’re already pregnant, saying “fuck off, i’m pregnant” twice isn’t usually an issue.
