When you press down on your eyeballs, what produces those visuals, or kaleidoscope-like colors?

I have no clue what you mean. Is that something that happens for other people????

The visuals you’re describing are called [phosphenes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphene), and they’re the result of you directly stimulating the cells in your eye. Normally, those cells are stimulated by light, and that’s how your brain interprets that stimulation, but they can also be stimulated by pressure, radiation, magnetic fields, or even randomly fire on their own. In this case, the pressure on your eyeballs is triggering those cells to fire.

Fun fact. When I had eye surgery with only local anesthesia I was awake during the process. It was the wildest kaleidoscope acid trip like visuals I’ve ever seen. I never want to do that again.

With me, a bright circle gradually appears that I’ve always assumed is my iris. True or not?
