When you’re hungry, is your body asking for food or telling you to eat?

I’m curious if your body is bossy when it comes to food or other types of functions.

Your body is telling you to eat. Most likely, your body does not need the nutrients right at the moment when you become hungry. We come from a ancestry of hunter gatherers. The only way for us to survive was to go and hunt our own food. Once our hunter gather ancestors felt that need to eat, that is when they would go hunting for food. Your body can function well for very long without food.
