Where and how does the air bag come out when the dash is one giant piece?

On the reverse of the dash there will be a “blow out panel”. An area of the dash that has a “weak” line around an area for the airbag to emerge from. It’s just aesthetics and should not hinder the bag at all.
Think of the “tear here” line on an Amazon package.
From the outside, that material looks solid, but it is specifically designed so that the airbag can split the material when it expands.
While the dash looks solid or one piece on the outside the the underside of the dash itself is made to tear open in that particular area when the airbag deploys.
