Where do all the amputated parts go?

They go to the pathology department, usually attached to the hospital’s morgue. There they can be analyzed if needed. After that, they may be returned to the patient if requested or may be disposed of as medical waste. Source: my girlfriend at uni worked in the morgue and was the one who would take amputated things from operating rooms to Surgical Pathology.
