Where do all the amputated parts go?

Mostly to the hospital’s incinerator/crematorium for disposal. But some people might be able to [take them home](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/took-amputated-leg-home-can) or arrange for them to be buried depending on local laws. Here’s a [pamphlet](http://flipbooks.leedsth.nhs.uk/LN004531.pdf) from Leeds hospital explaining the procedure if you choose to have your amputated limb buried and how to arrange that. Apparently they will keep your limb for up to 28 days so you can make the arrangements. How convenient
