under the fur…….also; the human belly button is distinct because we have learned to intervene and manually tie off the umbilical cord. for most other mammals they either chew the cord; rip the cord; or wait for it to fall off naturally.

in most cases the belly button of a wild mammal is just a random bump or blemish
