This is a bit backwards?

The blades form a bit of a cyclone pulling everything down towards the blades to be blended, which the force down creates a pressure pushing the blended contents upward

Ends up doing down in the middle and back up along the outside edge

The other way to look at it is because it’s initially in the bottom of the blender it has no other direction to go than up.
