Pretty much all sites I’ve been in always render video as 240p when auto-detecting when my internet is more than enough to stream 4k HD even.

For giving lower one’s, saving bandwidth in case the person doesn’t care. When it does the opposite idfk, I watch 240-480p and when it autos to 1440 its just being stupid
