Why are birds so damn loud in the morning?

Social animals call to each other when they wake up. Birds are just the only such animals left in many human environments. They also have larger ranges, so they’re more likely to use sound to find each other.
I lived across a river from a troop of baboons for a summer, they were a lot louder than the birds. Every. Morning.
