Why are cold beverages usually more refreshing? Can a hot beverage be Refreshing?

I think a lot of it is in how you define refreshing, a subjective thing that’s probably conditioned in you to associate with cooling off.
And since cold drinks cool you off, well, there you go.
But the textbook definition of refresh is to reinvigorate, so taking that definition , hot coffee definitely can refresh.
