Why are diet soft drinks so much more fizzy than the full sugar soft drinks?

It’s because sugar causes the viscosity of the liquid to increase. Diet actually isn’t more fizzy, but rather, due to lower viscosity, the bubbles can rise to the surface with less resistance, so it appears more fizzy. Imagine boiling honey vs boiling water.
