Why are most glasses,cups, bottles, plates and bowls circular and not more like a square or triangle?

A circle has one edge. You can approach it from any direction and always see the same edge.
If a cup was a square you would presumably need to drink from one of 4 corners in order to not spill it. 4 defined points compared to wherever you fancy with a circle.
Pretty sure if you’re molding by hand out of clay then a circle is also significantly easier to make too.
